Today marks the day I finally complete the new redesign of my personal portfolio website. After five or so redesigns and ten concepts, I can safely say this site is fully functional and easier to navigate than the prior versions. All I need to do now is get the text approved and hopefully I can graduate. It’s definitely been a long journey getting to this point, but at least I got it done. Pictures of the other designs and concepts below.

With only a few weeks left in this quarter, I need to hurry on finishing and maintaining this site. It seems that I don’t know how to avoid getting hit with spam and malware, since I cant go two days without Google redirecting my site to a malware one. I worked on fixing this problem, and after the week this shouldn’t happen anymore. I’ll update this as soon as things are back to normal.
Update: Fixed the malware redirects.
Worst birthday ever. I spent all Saturday night into Sunday morning working on this site, and finally slept at around 8 or 9 in the morning. This would have been fine if I didn’t have to get up at 10 to go to the East Bay. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it there at that time and ended up waking at three in the afternoon. I still needed to get to the East Bay to work on a computer, so around six I left and by the time I finished, the Bart already closed. At around this time I got a phone call that I really did not want to get. Anyway, there was a family emergency and now I’m headed over to Santa Cruz. I’ll be updating this website while I’m down there, so until then, enjoy.
It’s my birthday and I finally got the front page up and running. I’m still getting used to WordPress, so there are a few issues that need to be fixed, but for the most part it’s up. When I started this website, I originally wanted it to look like a blog, so that I could post information easily on the site. This changed after I realized that it’s my portfolio and not everyone wants to read blog posts, some just want to see the work. So, after looking at some well known blog sites, such as, n-design, and smashing magazine, I thought it would be best if I put the blog in it’s own section.
The main problem is that I don’t have that many peices to show on a website, so if I create a portfolio site with very little content I need to display my work up front. All the pieces will include case studies, as well as, images or video. Over all, it’s an on going project and hopefully I can get everything posted by the end of this week, until then, the homepage will look rather empty.

I’m currently working on the index page of site. This page will carry on a consitant theme that will look more like a regular web page than a blog. This blog will still continue, but will have its own section on the site. I will also be adding selected projects to the work section of this site, as well as case studies for each posted project. The works which I’ll post span different areas of digital media, so visitors should get an understanding of what I can do. Also, the side blocks will get filled up with a slideshow of some of my work and possibly an ad, but at the moment I’m still deciding.
